& Sue Bierman Park Renovation Project

Investing in a Beloved Public Space for the Future

Embarcadero Plaza has long served as a gathering place for residents, workers, and visitors along San Francisco’s iconic waterfront.

At the heart of downtown San Francisco, Embarcadero Plaza is rich with history with an untapped potential. Now, the city and its partners are investing in a bold new vision to transform it into a vibrant, inclusive, and accessible park. A park that welcomes everyone to stay, connect, and enjoy a dynamic public space that reflects the spirit of San Francisco for generations to come.

Project Scope

This collaborative public-private partnership is developing the park through extensive community engagement to reflect the needs of residents, businesses, and visitors while supporting downtown’s economic recovery.
